What is the dosage and how should it be used?
Piroxicam comes as a capsule that is to be taken orally. It is usually taken once or twice a day.
Take piroxicam exactly as directed. If you do not understand these instructions, ask your pharmacist, nurse, or doctor to explain them to you.
Each dose should be taken with a full glass of water, and also with food, milk, or an antacid to lessen stomach upsets.
Take piroxicam at around the same time(s) every day.
Piroxicam will help control your symptoms but will not cure your condition. It may take 8-12 weeks or longer before you feel the full benefit of piroxicam.
